On my second night in Japan last month, I was wide awake at 3 am local
time, which of course was 2 pm EDT.  After an hour or so, I gave up and
decided to see what was on television.  I found many baseball games.
There were several replays of Japanese professional games from the day
before.  They were also showing a New York Yankees game, perhaps because
Hideki Irabu was pitching.  On another channel, they were teaching the
binomial theorem.  All of this was in Japanese, of course.  Baseball and
Algebra at 4:15 am.  No wonder the yen is at a three year high!
